Week at Transition Ranch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few months back, some of you\u00a0may recall that\u00a0I was chattering more than usual\u00a0about the\u00a0photography opportunities at Transition Ranch near Uvalde, Texas.\u00a0\u00a0During the dry spring\u00a0of 2014,\u00a0I helped the\u00a0owners\u00a0select photo blind locations and\u00a0I showed them where to find golden-cheeked warblers and black-capped vireos.\u00a0 After a few days\u00a0at\u00a0the ranch, I was really\u00a0excited about the\u00a0possibilities.\u00a0\u00a0Then, when\u00a0April arrived this year,\u00a0the ranch was drenched with record amounts of\u00a0rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few of the\u00a0images I captured at Transition Ranch while guiding two groups of photographers at mid-month.\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> For best viewing, click on an image to enlarge and sharpen it.\u00a0 Click on the right center of each image to advance through the winter and spring made it impossible to\u00a0complete\u00a0photo blinds for golden-cheeked warblers and black-capped vireos.\u00a0 Although shy, they should come to water in this dry country during a
